Postpartum Ayurveda Research Study Forms

Welcome to Postpartum Ayurveda

We are happy to see you and excited for you to take part in this study, and especially for you, and your baby, to experience the profound benefits of Postpartum Ayurvedic care. Please take some time to fill out the forms below so we can get started in assisting you with preparing for a nourished and healing Postpartum period. Although there are naturally challenges during the postpartum period, at NOURISH, we believe that it is essential that we have a culture of well cared for, nurtured, and rejuvenated Moms. The reality is that birth is one of the biggest events that take place in a woman's life, and she needs to heal, transform, and come into Motherhood in a supported way. It is said that there are three major junctures in a woman's life - menarche, pregnancy/birth, and menopause and significant shifts occur at these times. Supporting women during these shifts means that as communities, we have healthy, happy, and nourished women within their daily lives, families, and many roles - whole and healed, as nature meant for her to be.

Please be sure to fill the appropriate forms below, and to join the private study group where you can interact with fellow participants as well as ask any questions that may surface during the study. The private group can be found under the groups tab at the top of this page. You can simply ask to be admitted and the admin will grant you access. Rest assured, this group is private and only for study members.

Land Acknowledgment

NOURISH Ayurveda Nutrition Yoga, recognises its current existence on traditional lands and includes this in its respectful awareness and conscience.

London, Ontario, is situated on the traditional territories of the Anishinaabek, Haudenosaunee, LÅ«naapéewak, and Attawandaron peoples. This land is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties, specifically Treaty 6 (the London Township Treaty of 1796), and is connected to the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Covenant—an agreement to peaceably share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes.

Today, London continues to be home to a diverse population of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities, including neighboring nations:

  • Deshkan Ziibiing (Chippewas of the Thames First Nation)

  • Oneida Nation of the Thames

  • Munsee-Delaware Nation

We acknowledge the historical and ongoing impacts of colonialism on Indigenous peoples and recognize our collective responsibility to honor the land, uphold treaty obligations, and actively support truth, reconciliation, and Indigenous sovereignty.

  • Deshkan Ziibiing (Desh-kan Zee-bing): The Ojibwe/Anishinaabemowin name for the area, meaning "Antler River" (referring to the Thames River).

  • Dish With One Spoon: An indigenous diplomatic concept representing shared stewardship—taking only what is needed, leaving enough for others, and keeping the land clean.

  • Treaty 6 (1796): The agreement signed between the Chiefs of the Chippewas and the British Crown conveying land in present-day London and surrounding townships.
