Ayurveda and Mental Health series in collaboration with The Ayurvedic Association of Canada

ree

Welcome, please see the link below to watch the latest talk on Ayurveda and Mental Health. This talk focused on the Samkhya Philosophy, and the mind - the bridge between the soul and the body-mind system.

The Samkhya Philosophy is one the Shad Darshans (six schools of percepetion), and forms a profound concept, or more accurately, a map, of life on earth, the individual, and the realm of consciousness. To fully understand the Doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), the Panchamahabhutas (The Five Elements), the mental Gunas (Sattva, Rajas, Tamas), the Trayopastambha (The Three Pillars of Health), Ayurvedic food theory including Shadrasas (The Six Tastes), Sensory perception and influence, and more, it is necessary to look deeply at the Samkhya Philosophy.

I hope you enjoy the talk, and please reach out with any questions. Hope to see you at the next talk, which takes place on the last Thursday of the month, online, generally 5 pm or 6 pm PST.
